We are looking for an Engine Demand Analyst who will play a critical role in supporting the day-to-day accuracy and integrity of demand planning for Waukesha Gas Engines. Reporting to the SIOP Manager, you’ll be primarily responsible for monitoring daily changes in demand, investigating root causes, and driving corrective actions or providing education on the reasons for change. The Demand Analyst will also create and maintain detailed work instructions for standard demand planning processes, manage and review forecasting BOMs for errors, and support continuous improvement initiatives.

 

What you’ll do:

 

  • Monitor and review daily changes in demand, identify root causes for variances, and implement corrective actions or communicate findings to relevant stakeholders.
  • Develop, document, and update detailed work instructions for standard demand planning functions.
  • Manage and review forecasting BOMs, identifying and correcting errors to ensure data accuracy.
  • Analyze demand data using advanced analytical tools (e.g., Tableau, Excel, SQL) to identify trends, anomalies, and improvement opportunities.
  • Collaborate with sales, marketing, and operations teams to clarify demand signals and ensure alignment.
  • Support the SIOP process by providing accurate data analysis and insights.
  • Maintain a high level of proficiency in ERP systems (such as Oracle) and related forecasting tools.
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance demand planning accuracy and efficiency.
  • Educate team members and stakeholders on demand changes and process updates as needed.
  • Support other planning and analysis tasks as assigned by the manager.

 

What you’ll have:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Supply Chain, Engineering, or related field; or equivalent experience.
  • At lest 3 years’ experience in demand analysis, materials planning, or a related supply chain function.
  • Advanced proficiency in analytical tools such as Tableau, Excel (including Power Query/Power Pivot), and SQL.
  • Strong experience with ERP systems (preferably Oracle) and forecasting/BOM management.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to document and communicate complex processes clearly.
  • Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and able to manage multiple priorities.

 

What will make you stand out:

  • Experience in a configuration-to-order industrial environment.
  • Knowledge of Waukesha engines and market trends is a plus.
  • APICS or similar supply chain certification preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive process improvements and educate others.
  • Experience with SIOP processes and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Green Belt certification is a plus.
